Last chance to savour the season’s most loved fruit before the monsoon arrives later this month.
In Gujarat, Kesar mangoes hold a special place in summer dining culture. Known for their rich aroma, vibrant colour, and naturally sweet flavour, they remain one of the most celebrated ingredients of the Indian summer season, enjoyed across refreshing beverages, chilled desserts, vibrant salads, and seasonal regional dishes.
This June, as Ahmedabad continues to experience soaring summer temperatures before the expected late-June rains, Jacaranda at The Ummed Ahmedabad presents a contemporary Mango Festival from 4th June to 10th June, a specially curated all-day dining experience celebrating mangoes across refreshing salads, regional favourites, savoury dishes, and inventive desserts.
Mangoes Beyond Desserts
Traditionally associated with sweets and beverages, mangoes today are increasingly being explored across savoury and contemporary dishes for their balance of sweetness, acidity, and freshness.
MANGO AVOCADO SALAD
At Jacaranda, the festival highlights this versatility across multiple courses.
One of the standout dishes is the Mango Avocado Salad, where the creaminess of avocado pairs beautifully with the bright sweetness of ripe mangoes, creating a dish that feels both refreshing and indulgent during Ahmedabad’s intense summer days.
THAI MANGO SALAD | GREEN MANGO SALAD
Guests can also discover vibrant seasonal creations such as the Thai Mango Salad and Green Mango Salad, each offering a different expression of the fruit through contrasting textures and flavours.
Rooted in Seasonal Traditions
Alongside contemporary dishes, the menu also celebrates flavours deeply connected to Indian summer dining traditions.
Kacche Keri Ki Sabzi highlights the sharp, tangy character of raw mangoes, an ingredient widely used across Gujarati and North Indian households during the warmer months.
The Assorted Mango Pickle brings another layer of familiarity and Mango Pani Puri adds a fun and interactive twist on the beloved Indian street food classic
Sweet Endings with a Contemporary Twist
Desserts remain an essential part of mango season, but here too, the menu moves beyond the expected.
The Fiery Mango Paprika Ice Cream is among the festival’s most intriguing creations. Cool and creamy at first, the dessert slowly unfolds with subtle warmth from paprika, creating a layered flavour profile that feels playful, contemporary, and memorable.
Other highlights include the Mango Cheesecake, Mango Brownie Delight, Mango Sunshine Tart, and the Royal Aamras Bowl, each showcasing mangoes through different textures, temperatures, and presentations.
A Seasonal Dining Experience at Jacaranda
As the monsoon season slowly approaches later this month and mango season begins to draw to a close, this is one of the final opportunities to experience mangoes at their seasonal best.
Whether enjoyed through refreshing salads, comforting regional dishes, inventive desserts, or cooling beverages, Jacaranda’s Mango Festival celebrates the fruit in ways that feel both familiar and refreshingly modern.
Refreshing, comforting, inventive—this is mango season, reimagined at Jacaranda.
